We can offer range of sessions including; breakfast clubs, wake & shake, lunchtime clubs, after school clubs PPA cover and CPD training. All our staff are DBS checked, first aid trained and have a vast range of experience teaching dance, gymnastics, cheer and musical theatre in schools.
Our dance clubs include a range of different dance styles and games to enthuse and inspire students. If your school wishes we can deliver a specific style of dance each term. Examples of the variety of styles we have on offer are: Street Dance, Contemporary, Cheerleading, Gymnastics, Musical Theatre, Charleston, Bollywood, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Disco and many more. We have also recently launched our new club ‘Shake It’ Fitness into Dore Primary School which has been a huge success!
We offer innovating PPA sessions to energise and motivate pupils with links to the national curriculum. Each session will be tailored to your class, with a wide range of styles available and cross curricular links key to our sessions. Examples of sessions we have already delivered are; Florence Nightingale, The Great Fire of London, Diwali, World War II and Space. Physical Education is an important aspect of the National Curriculum, which promotes healthy living, well-being, physical activity, self-confidence, self-expression and teamwork. Not only do our dance sessions develop student’s physical capabilities, there are many other benefits to our PPA sessions, which include:
- Literacy (use of literature as a stimuli)
- Numeracy (Counting beats and bars)
- Presentation Skills
- Creative thinking (producing own dance sequences)
- Communication (discussion with peers)
- Cultural Awareness (Cultural events as stimuli)
- Teamwork (working together effectively)
- Supporting Others (Peer teaching and support within sessions)
Alongside our dance sessions we can also offer Gymnastic and Cheerleading PPA cover and CPD Training. These develop flexibility, strength, technique, control and balance.
Gemini offers CPD to teachers within the class time slots. The CPD packages can vary dependant on lessons, planning and teacher input. The CPD would allow the teacher to deliver part of the lesson and ask any questions or queries surrounding the dance lessons, whilst the Gemini leader will be there to support and walk through the lesson structure, progression and regression (lesson/ activity specific), engaging the students of all learner styles, age appropriate and ability.
If you are interested in any of the above, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss in more detail and to tailor your session.
